Inside view at Omilumn's characters

And now… a whole entry dedicated for Omilumn, my soon-to-be-comic. First page is almost done. Sounds effect and background are required for not and I’m still not sure how to proceed. Names had been found also and that is a big step. Well there’s one that remains to be found and that is the puppeteer’s.

I’ve redesigned the puppeteer’s clothes because each time that I tried to draw his properly… he looked… weird… didn’t work out.

I need to find my script again… my poor script, because I don’t seem to know how to write in script at all.

This could be a miracle actually: no p-chat post this time… sort of. My tablet is currently having problem whenever I go into a paint-chat room. The pen-pressure is really bad and I’m someone who like to work pale lines… because I fail at full lines *cough*.

Well, in Gaia I had opened a freebies shop and made some works… I don’t know when those works had been done though… I can’t recall but it’s certainly after February 19.

First one done for supuu: Well.. It’s not so bad and very, very simple I guess… I only like the red panda to be honest =/.

For coloring the last picture, I used a program called Sai. So far I adore it… I wonder what people really think of those results. They may think it’s the same but I probably tool 4x less time to do it with Sai.

Yes, yet another WIP of my knight. The shirt is finished. I had went to Gaia earlier some time that day and saw a user complaining about someone’s else art about how much it looked burned and dodge which is probably the case. Somehow I became worried with that but perhaps it won’t be my case. I think I have some lightening to hade and modifications to make but I’ll get to that only after I’m down with the background. I should’ve make it first but oh well. I’m thinking of using references from Nathies-stock later so I’ll make sure to ask.

Not another p-chat thing. I like her body in some way but her face is strange. I know that there is a mistake and I would be happy to know what it is about it that looks weird though. Her top hand is beautiful. I’m really contented with that. Now that I’ve practiced tones of female bodies, it’s high time I focus on the male counterpart. Who knew I could draw dragons? We were in a small p-chat room, a really pleasant place (too sad it’s not working anymore) and I asked what I could draw. Someone replied dragons… My first question was ‘how do you do that?” I couldn’t do more then the heads but it was worth trying. The lower one is Hector the other is a female.

I’ve done other works on p-chat from December 8^th to December 13^th. Those were for one page of Omilumn, my to-be-manga (hopefully). The drawings were screenshot then inked digitally over Photoshop and resized to fit the page. I still have a way to go and I’m wondering if I should use screetones for the page or crosshatching. If you’re wondering about the lines on the background and the rulers next; I made it. I made my own manga-like page like DELETER.

Some long due updates

I know I should post about the right dates on the drawings but I won’t bother myself with it today since I’m fairly late. Beside if you people want the exact act date then there’s only need to ask. =3.

Many drawings I’ve made I didn’t draw neither did I save at all but I feel like I been practicing anyway.

First we have the drawing that I’m intending to make as a fanart for Sapayne. I like the skin’s texture somehow. I didn’t want it black and white at the beginning but once started I decided to practice the shadows, the anatomy and the lights. Buttocks and wavy hairs yay!

November the 2^nd I made a collaboration work with Azu-chan. I haven’t seen here for a while and it was really fun to do that with her and I liked the result too =3. I was really ready to give up at the beginning but I didn’t and continued to draw. Now I don’t regret not giving up.

Halloween

It’s been a while since I’ve updated here. Well, it probably was because I was drawing more on paper then with my tablet. I’m too lazy too scan seemingly. Anyway, sucky update. I should really get myself to practice a bit more right now. I feel like I need it right now.

First we have two P-chat pictures I’ve made quite a while ago-- the 19^th of October to be precise.

First one isn’t really special. Pretty ordinary but I’m proud of the hand because I made it quickly and without that much fuss which is a miracle.

Well that’s all for the P-chat stuff. Now we’re moving to the pencil on paper stuff. I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I finished these but it must have been a bit before the weekend. I made many more sketches on paper but it seem like those were the only one worth scanning at all.

The uke isn’t really that hot, I know, but the seme seem interesting enough—the hair specially. The majority of this drawing was made with a mechanical pencil which I rarely use on paper.

This one, you can see that there’s a similarity with the first drawing. It was finished after those first guys. The paper was so dirty and has bumps on it so the scan quality is bad. I will probably make nothing of this drawing because I can see SO many errors by myself. Those two characters can also be seen here.

So, Not much later after the two other drawing I made a random drawing for Lovelies: A zombie. There’s really nothing too special about him and I colored him on Photoshop. I’ll show the uncolored version =/. The colors are so bad in my opinion, especially on the shirt. But I wanted it done quickly. Not too bad for under 4 hour of coloring though.

Now I should get my butt into practice. I might buy another sketch book for practice drawing only. I’m trying to think of what kind of paper I’d like. Many Bristol or the print paper kind (I recently bought some print paper. It was about time.)

I’m really not confident about my last drawing. Maybe it’s just a small problem of self confidence but I’ll try not to linger on it. I’ve so much stuff to do. I still didn’t make Rewy’s drawing, probably because I like a more detailed demand? I dunno. Well I’ve continued the art trade with Yue a bit. I really dislike architecture x_X.

New header and a cop

New header made for my blog. I think I should’ve worked longer on it but hey, for a one or two hour job I think it’s not bad =3.

I hate trolls in p-chats… I really do hate them. A little more and I wouldn’t have be able to screenshot this. I had to screencap this while the log loaded. My drawing had been erased and so was others and replaced with really vulgar doodles… I hate trolls.

So, it’s NOT really fancy or anything but hey… policeman. How can you not love them. I wish I could’ve done something different with the neck… something that might seem a little sexier but I couldn’t work on it anymore… it was erased.

colored painter

Did this Oct 05, didn't post it here then because I was thinking of completing a fan art of Vann before. Sadly, while I was looking to texture the drawing, Photoshop closed completely. Bye-bye drawing. I didn’t save halfway because it was progressing really fast, I thought I was unnecessary. I was almost done when it was closed. Well I won’t cry much… it was a good practice.

So now, for this piece: I like it, I’ve played with the color’s ‘curves’ a little and the color just made me go, wow, that’s cool. I like it but it wasn’t really a big success in Y! I only had four favorites ^_^;. Well so far. I will post the current version that I posted on my y-gallery and also the “un-filtered” version also.

Other p-chat stuff I did yesterday. It’s still pretty early in the morning so I might draw something else today.

Yesterday I saw Cats in the p-chat! How lucky is that! She’s so nice =3. I like how sometimes in Niko you just meet those REALLY good artists. Most of them are nice and not full of themselves. Some ppl that comes up to my mind is the always weird cheerful muffin-chan XD, that guy, Dan Blomberg, whom I made really weird pedophile story with. (Not shota okay… not the cute stuff) Mue! Mue is awesome <3. Azuka, she’s so cheerful and many other I know I’m not thinking of right now.

Oh well, on with the art.

First one, defined as fuzzy face for now. Not extraordinary it’s just that looking at it I felt like it was a pointer to my “current” style. Looking back on some drawing I can definitely see a similarity.

Second one took me a bit of time to finish of course but I was so glad that I received some compliments on this one. I should color this. I already have colors in mind. I’m wondering if I can pull off come flat coloring for this one. Maybe… I might try. I’ll try to set myself a “coloring” week where all I do I color stuff. I might try to find “lazy” way to color XD.

On a side note: I finally decided to delete Rewy’s Wip. I really wasn’t happy with it currently. Rewy, if you read this, sorry it’s taking so much time. I will find a pose or scenery for this. I should look at the screenshots and get a feeling for it.

It’s the lady! It’s the lady that I like; her small breast, her hips ample enough and her hands. Though the face might be weird I’m happy with the body. I see there’s still something to workout about the anatomy but I wont linger on this piece… it was meant to be unfinished. I don’t like the guy in the middle and I like the one on top enough. The face feels manly again… I was into manliness that day.

This one was done today, compared to the others that were made yesterday. All were made in Niko’s. It’s by far the less completed but I quit near the end for silly reasons. I like this one though, a bit of realism. I think his hips might be too swishy but I won’t play difficult because I thought I couldn’t pull of a body for him from the begning. Maybe this one will be resurrected in photoshop as well.

401 and some pose maniac

Finally finished the steaming fanart of Hiruma having fun with Shin and I posted it on Y! first. I should’ve posted it here as soon as done but after speaking with the amazing Cats through the gallery I wanted to finish and post quick. So far I have 11 favorites on it and it makes me terribly happy. I have some piece that has 15 favorites on it but those 11 favorites made me terribly happy.

Browsing through Gaia I ended up with a link. A NICE link. Strange that I felt like the link didn’t belong in the topic but oh well, it’s a very helpful link. Poses maniac is sadly in Japanese or something like that but what you need to know is written in English.

What I find amazing about the site is the very large number of posses available at hand and first and foremost the 30 seconds drawing thing. You click on the link to make you go to the 30 sec drawing and you prepare a pad of paper in hand. Click on start, then random images of men and women in different poses and perspective appears, but never more then 30 seconds or depending on how long you’ve set it. I usually did 30 seconds but I’ll move to 90 seconds till I get more used to it. When the seconds are expired there’s another image popping up. TIMES of fun learning I tell you. I suggest ppl use that site more for anatomy practice then reference though.

I did many of my own little pose already and I can see already how it could help me drawing faster.

Watercolor fun time

I made this probably more for the heck of it. I was glade that it took me so little time to complete it and it didn’t end up as crappy as I feared. Sadly, I can’t scan it at all. The scanner is too small and won’t pick up the color. (That is what happened when you by something cheaper.)

I noted while drawing this piece that I was getting even more comfortable with inking even if it had been a long while since I used it. Traditional medial will always remain something I love to do. traditional art is something that feels more intimate then Cg; It’s like a lover’s touch. I don’t remember who said that. I read that over Gaia If I’m right and I think that the person couldn’t be more accurate about the situation.

I posted the pictures In my journal for Y!Gallery. Sadly, I didn’t get much reaction. Well I wasn’t surprised though.
